Heretic Photography (“Heretic Photo”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains the information that may be collected when you use hereticphoto.com, submit an inquiry, communicate with Heretic Photo, or receive photography services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
When you contact Heretic Photo, submit a booking inquiry, or otherwise communicate with us, you may provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, location, session interests, scheduling information, creative concepts, privacy preferences, reference links, and any other details you choose to include.
1.2 Technical information
The web server and hosting environment may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser or device type, operating system, referring page, requested pages, timestamps, and diagnostic information. This information is primarily used for security, troubleshooting, and operation of the website.
1.3 Photographs and session information
If you become a client or collaborator, Heretic Photo may also maintain information necessary to plan and deliver the session, including agreements, releases, selected images, delivery information, and communications related to the project.
2. How We Use Information
Information may be used to respond to inquiries, plan and provide photography services, schedule sessions, prepare quotes, communicate about projects, deliver finished work, maintain records, protect the website, diagnose technical problems, and improve the client experience.
Heretic Photo does not use your contact information for marketing emails or text messages unless you have affirmatively chosen to receive that type of communication.
3. Forms, Email & Service Providers
Information submitted through website forms may be transmitted through the website’s hosting and email infrastructure so the inquiry can be delivered and answered. Hosting, email, storage, payment, gallery, delivery, or other service providers may process limited information when necessary to provide their services.
Heretic Photo does not sell personal information to advertisers.
4. Browser Storage, Caching & Site Functionality
The website may use normal browser storage, caching, or progressive-web-app functionality to improve loading and offline behavior. These technologies are used for site operation and performance rather than to build advertising profiles.
Third-party websites linked from Heretic Photo may use their own cookies, analytics, or tracking technologies. Their practices are governed by their own policies.
5. Photography, Privacy & Publication
Privacy expectations for a photography session are handled separately from general website data. Paid-session photographs are not published by Heretic Photo without explicit permission. TFP, collaboration, publication, or commissioned work may use different written permissions or releases, and the agreement for that specific project controls.
6. Disclosure of Information
Information may be disclosed to service providers when reasonably necessary to operate the website or provide services, when required by law or valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, property, or security of Heretic Photo, clients, or others.
7. Data Retention
Information is retained only as long as reasonably useful for business, client-service, legal, tax, security, archival, or recordkeeping purposes. Different types of information may be retained for different periods. When information is no longer reasonably needed, it may be deleted, anonymized, or archived where appropriate.
8. Data Security
Reasonable administrative and technical precautions are used to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of internet transmission, email delivery, hosting, or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Your Choices
You may ask questions about information you previously provided, request corrections, or ask that unnecessary information be deleted when reasonably possible and when retention is not required for legitimate business or legal purposes.
You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the instructions in the message or by contacting Heretic Photo.
10. Third-Party Links
The website may link to third-party websites, retailers, social platforms, or services. Heretic Photo does not control those websites and is not responsible for their content, security, privacy policies, or practices.
11. Children’s Privacy
The website is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children through general inquiry or booking forms. Adult-oriented photography services are available only to adults. Any photography involving a minor requires appropriate parent or legal-guardian involvement and separate arrangements.
12. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when practices, services, technology, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page and identified by the “Last updated” date.
13. Contact
Questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy can be sent through the Contact page or by email at jesse@hereticphoto.com.
